The ODBC specifications have evolved through different versions from 1.x to 3.5. The functional differences between these versions are not significant to the application developer and the end-user, though there are so many advantages when you upgrade. Most of the Windows ODBC drivers in the market are developed for the most common ODBC 3.0 standard. Why should you then as a driver vendor upgrade to ODBC 3.5?
