These are extraordinary times. Leaders need to think differently, they need to act differently, and they need to take action rather than sit around and watch things unfold around them. In today's changing economic and political climate, government agencies are feeling the pressure to do more work with fewer people, in less time, in new ways, and with a reduced budget. People look to their leaders for vision and direction. In this webinar, Senior Consulting Partner Jim Atwood of The Ken Blanchard Companies will show you what leaders can do to keep their people focused, engaged, and productive. You'll learn to: - Resist the urge to "close up" during uncertain times. Even if you don't have all the answers, it's still better to share what you do know, than to leave people guessing. - Maintain the right balance between a concern for results and a concern for people. Great leaders know that you have to strike a balance that meets both of these important needs. - Manage people's energy. Leadership is about managing energy, and right now it is essential for every leader to manage that energy as effectively as possible. The best organizations right now are creating well-thought-out plans for people to come together and act. Yet many departments and teams remain at risk in this critical area because people lack clarity regarding exactly what they are supposed to be doing to achieve success on the job. Don't miss this opportunity to learn how to communicate a vision and manage energy in a way that keeps people focused and productive. The result is a strong, aligned organization that can move quickly, boldly, and successfully through any turmoil that may lie ahead. Start: 03/31/2009 11:00 am

Experiencing God Through Journaling Title: Week 2: Looking To God CLICK HERE to reserve your seat for this Life-Changing webinar. Description: This webinar is Week #2 in a brand new, 12-week series of webinars on Tuesday evenings covering much of the material in Henry Blackaby’s book Experiencing God. You, your family, and your friends are invited to participate in this world-wide, online LIFE group. This is free and will be inspirational and transformational. What makes this LIFE group different than most, if not all, previous Experiencing God life groups around the world is that this one is online and will integrate online journaling. Because it’s online, people from different countries will be able to interact live during each webinar. God is using this venue to build and unite a vibrant online community of disciples of Jesus. In his outstanding book “Experiencing God,” Henry Blackaby writes, “In the mind and teaching of Jesus, a church was a vital, living, dynamic fellowship of believers. The Greek word “koinonia,” most frequently translated “fellowship,” is the best way to describe what a church ought to be.” Henry Blackaby writes, “When God speaks, it is important to write down what He says.” While Henry talks some about journaling in his book, he doesn’t go into nearly the depth we will. Bruce Wilkinson, in his book “Secrets of the Vine,” shares how journaling played a key role in him breaking through to a deeper abiding in Jesus and a life filled with fruitfulness. Yet, Bruce doesn’t explain how to journal strategically. On several occasions during my 2-way journaling, Jesus has told me, “Coaching people to journal to hear My voice is your sweet spot.” The LORD has wired me to be an UNCOMMON Journaler, spending hours each day journaling strategically. Why? Rev. Mark Jarvis says if a leader wants his followers to jump six inches, he must jump six feet first. Now, Jerry and I’d like to share your coaching and journaling expertise to propel you forward into your destiny. Come join us and be sure to invite your family and friends, too.
