Creating a Fast, Flexible, and Nimble Organization
Start: 05/13/2009 11:00 am

When organizational structures, policies, and procedures get in the way of serving customers and the execution of strategy, things have to change.
In this webinar, best-selling business author and change expert Patricia Zigarmi will show you how to build a fast and flexible organization that is able to quickly respond to the needs of the marketplace. You'll learn the six concerns that all employees have when they are asked to change and what leaders can do to reduce resistance and build momentum for moving ahead.

  • Information Concerns: What is the change? Why is it needed?
  • Personal Concerns: How will the change impact me personally? Will I win or lose?
  • Implementation Concerns: What do I do first? How do I manage all of the details?
  • Impact Concerns: Is the effort worth it? Is the change making a difference?
  • Collaboration Concerns: Who else should be involved? How do we spread the word?
  • Refinement Concerns: How can we make the change even better?

With practice, leaders can learn how to diagnose and respond to individuals' predictable concerns on a consistent basis. The result is an organization better able to deal with change now and into the future.

Change is a fact of life in today's business environment. Don't allow rigid thinking and an inability to move beyond your company's present change leadership and business strategies limit your chances to adapt and grow.

People don't resist change—what they resist is having change done to them.

Making sure that your company is change-ready. Register today and learn how leaders can gain buy-in, and create an action plan for successfully addressing change within your organization.

Move From 2D to Explicit 3D Design: The Fastest Way to 3D
Start: 05/13/2009 1:00 pm

If you’re like many 2D design houses, you’re finding it harder and harder to keep up as…

* Competition provides less and less time to release new products.
* New manufacturing techniques, materials, and suppliers complicate development.
* This year’s products demand more style and design complexity.
* Design and manufacturing must be integrated from teams all over the world.

If you’re considering the move to 3D, Explicit Modeling may be the best solution. It’s based on the same principles and concepts as 2D, but it's also so much more.

To find out why 2D users are switching to the Explicit Modeling Approach pioneered by CoCreate, join us for this live webinar.

Using Analytics to Discover and Prevent New Fraud Schemes
Start: 05/13/2009 1:00 pm

Because most fraud detection systems tend to be rules-based, one very surprising but common limitation is that most are not good at identifying new types of fraud and abuse. Out-of-the-box standard data mining approaches are not much better either because they are based on past observations (which don't usually exist) or because they use undirected approaches which suffer from high false positive rates. While traditional analytics methods are not designed to look for rare or unknown events, Dr. Ian J. Scott will present a real-life solution to this problem based on techniques used to discover new particles in high energy physics. Applied to analytics, the approach involves learning from your own data using an unbiased and automatic approach to fraud detection.

The Angoss Problem Solver series presents relevant and engaging topics to illustrate how data mining tools and techniques can be applied in creative ways to solve real-world business problems.
