Strategies for Merging and Analyzing Chemical and Biological Data for Effective Compound Prioritization Decisions
Start: 11/16/2009 11:00 am
End: 11/16/2009 12:30 pm

Effective management of results from biological testing, chemical structure information and other disparate sources of discovery data is critical to decision-making in drug and molecular discovery projects, yet scientists often spend anywhere from minutes to hours each week dealing with mountains of data created from different programs, supplied in a variety of formats. Viewing information obtained from multiple sources contained in independent reports, and manually merging these disparate data sources together to determine which are the most promising compounds for further studies or tox analysis poses a regular time drain as well as a challenge to effective decision making. The ability to quickly and robustly determine which of many candidate compounds has the desired physicochemical properties and passes multiple design criteria is necessary to determine which compounds have the best chances of successfully navigating the drug discovery and development process.

Learn how to organize, analyze, and visualize chemical and biological data quickly and efficiently, enhancing efficiency and productivity. During this webinar, you will:

See how disparate data sources - like chemical and biological data - can be quickly and easily merged using drag-and-drop capabilities
Example: Merge assay results three biologists sent to you in Excel with chemical structure information
Learn about powerful ways to prioritize and select compounds based on multiple selection or scoring criteria
Example: Analyze a set of lead structures against multiple criteria in your project’s biological cascade
Learn about ways to enhance communication between team members using simple sharing of results and experiments
Example: Email a colleague a set of interesting protein-ligand structures and your comments on them

Webinar: Breaking Past the Email Delete Barrier
Start: 11/17/2009 11:00 am

This webinar will give tips on how to write an email that will get read.

Full-Disk Encryption: Protect your Company from a Data Breach
Start: 11/17/2009 2:00 pm
End: 11/17/2009 3:00 pm

Encryption of data-at-rest is no longer an optional exercise. Increasingly mobile enterprise data combined with accelerating privacy & data breach legislation is driving significant risks and costs into the loss or theft of sensitive data and personally identifiable information (PII) on laptops and devices attached to those laptops.

What can SecureDoc do for you?

SecureDoc delivers a complete data security solution including government-grade encryption that reliably and transparently protects intellectual property and PII throughout the enterprise. SecureDoc gives all industries the ability to deploy encryption across the enterprise in a secure and auditable fashion without affecting productivity.

Key Takeaways:

- Why you should encrypt your laptops (and what else you should encrypt).

- What to consider in choosing an encryption solution that is right for you.

- How to approach enterprise deployment to ensure success and compliance.

Tweeting For Your Business! An introduction to Twitter
Start: 11/17/2009 2:00 pm

Planning Real-time Clinical Trial Decision Making
Start: 11/18/2009 11:00 am
End: 11/18/2009 12:30 pm

With an unprecedented scope of options now possible with new adaptive trials, how can clinical study sponsors determine their best approach?

Join noted Judith Quinlan, Cytel’s Vice President of Adaptive Trials, for an in-depth look at the most effective strategies for planning and implementing this new breed of trials.

Judith’s adaptive trial expertise and clinical experience has helped some the most successful biopharmaceutical companies pursue a winning clinical research strategy.

Actual early and confirmatory study case studies exemplify best practices proven to overcome any barriers and take full advantage of today’s era of adaptive development.

Trial planning: how do you know we have a good design?

* Asking the right development questions - how to avoid racing toward the wrong answer
* Why trial simulations? – assessing options and determining best design
* Working with colleagues – preparing internally for success
* Working with regulators
* Beyond the current trial - the impact on subsequent studies

Implementation: are you fully prepared for the consequences of adaptive changes?

* Simulation use in the execution phase, including supply forecasts and cost analysis
* Forecasting investigation site accrual rates
* Implementing the recommended changes following interim analysis
