Join us as we discuss the characteristics and experiences of infants who fail to thrive and learn a set of educational strategies that support children and teens with attachment disorders resulting from Failure To Thrive. Mothers of children who fail to thrive tend to have depression, anger, impaired coping, and the inability to provide warmth to their child. They are often needy, live in poverty, and are unemployed. There are high levels of: suicide attempts, addiction, isolation, and personality disorders, and there are strong positive correlations between child abuse and child neglect patterns. FTT is not a diagnosis—rather it is a symptom cluster with degrees of developmental delay and malnutrition.
